IPE to start European I&E competition
Indoor Percussion Europe (IPE) has announced the 2010 season kick off in Dadizele - Belgium on Saturday February 13th. No less than four IPE percussion events will take place on this day.
For the first time, IPE will hold an Individuals & Ensembles competition. The categories are Indivisual Percussion (snare drum, multiple tenor drum, percussion keyboard, timpani, multiple percussion) and Ensembles (bass drum ensemble, cymbal ensemble and percussion ensemble).
There will also be an 'info seminar' (free admission). Percussion advisors/specialists from IPE and DCE will explain matters for the upcomming European Indoor Percussion Season. During this meeting they will explain and discuss topics like education, organisation, contests and judging. This seminar will provide percussion units with advice and support for making decisions regarding IPE classifications, IPE rules, policies and regulations.
All indoor percussion units are invited to perform their new 2010 program in front of fans, friends and family (free admission). Units that want to take part in this preview event can register online. In the evening, there will be an 'IP Party' to celebrate the start of the 2010 indoor percussion season.
