12 Corps register in first 24 hours for DCUK 2009
At 10am on Monday 5th January 2009 Drum Corps United Kingdom commenced the registration process for their 30th Anniversary season. Within the first 24 hours 12 corps had completed the on-line form making this a 100% increase on 2008 with more registrations anticipated over the coming few days.
The corps that have registered so far, in alphabetical order, are:

Poynton Commodores

Stafford Lancers
Staffordshire Knights
The Pacemakers
Junior Class
Black Knights Cadets
Kidsgrove Scouts Juniors

Alan Thompson, on behalf of DCUK, commented "I am really pleased to see the increased level of corps for 2009 as the aim of DCUK since in inception in 1980 has always been to be the Home of British Drum Corps and we hope more corps will wish to come along and take part and help us celebrate 30th years of this remarkable activity."
