80 students for Phoenix Rising, and counting
Phoenix Rising currently has 80 students and they will increase this number in the months ahead. The band provides great opportunities and experiences for their students, both socially and eductionally and we all play a part in providing this service.
In 2009 the band from Dublin - Ireland look forward to putting all students through their music grades with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. This is a new and exciting era in music education for the students in the band.
The bands 2008 season has been completed and has been one of the most active and successful ever. Highlights for Phoenix Rising include a first place and League winners at the Irish National Championships in Arklow Co. - Wicklow, a third place in Division 2 at the Ouse Valley Sounds BYBA show in Bedford - England, and Division 2 winners in the European Championships on Milan - Italy.
2008 saw the introduction or new uniforms and new name 'Phoenix Rising'. Another improvement was the equipment truck which makes the day to day runnng the group much easier.
