Trinity School Showband moves to Division 1
Trinity School Showband will move to the BYBA Division 1 next year. Over the past 3 years, the Trinity School Showband have been working to a plan that would develop their members and staff in order to prepare for pushing themselves further.
At a recent meeting, it was decided that the work that started in 2006 has been a huge success not only for the members, but for the school itself, and although losing between 40 and 60 marching members each year due to college and university, it was felt that the time is right to push the Band into new territory and compete at the highest youth level within the British Youth Band Association.
Speaking of the move, Jason Wallace, Performance Director commented "It is always a difficult task to essentially rebuild such a large band each year, but we have been thinking about this next phase in the Bands progression plan for the last 12 months, and so I am extremely pleased that we are able to make this announcement at this time and look forward to Division I competition for the 2009 BYBA season."
In addition to the above announcement, Trinity School Showband would like to also announce their 2009 Program, which is entitled 'Spectrum'. The colour spectrum is the range of visible colours which when conjoined together evolve into white light.
