A great weekend ahead with Academy Brass (BYBA) on the Saturday in Barnsley followed by the DCUK Warrington competition the next day. Both competitions are set to be a fantastic end of the first half of the British seasons.

If your stuck for something to do this weekend, a great idea you could choose would be to drive up north to join in the fun with the two competitions over the weekend ahead.

Starting on Saturday is the popular Academy Brass (BYBA) competition that is held at the Training Grounds at Barnsley FC. The day is fully packed up with 24 bands/corps competing from 10 in the morning to half 8 at night. This also includes two guest competitors Tallaght Festival Band and Phoenix Rising MSB both from Ireland.

Thats not all thats on this weekend, on the Sunday corps will be traveling to Warrington to compete in the 3rd competition of the DCUK season. The competition is being held at Victoria Park Arena and is being hosted by Poynton Commodores. This show also has some guest competitors, with 6th Hove Scouts and 37th Kingswood Scouts competing in International Open Class and Phoenix Rising in National Open Class. Also there will be a exhibition from Commodores Cadets.

As you can see from the line up for the weekend, there is sure a lot that is not to be missed. Try and get yourself up to one or both of the competitions to support the performers playing.
