Ten Major Events in DCI events schedule
This year, Drum Corps International will present ten major regional events across the country, in addition to the 2008 DCI World Championships to be hosted for the first time in Indianapolis - Indiana this August.
These exciting events are often produced in larger, collegiate and professional sports stadium facilities on key weekends, to the delight of some of the biggest crowds of the season. Audiences at the 2007 major regional events exceeded 75,000 fans. The 2008 DCI Major Events will include:
- Illinois State University (Bloomington-Normal - Indiana, 27th June)
- University of Wisconsin (Madison - Wisconsin, 28th June)
- Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena - California, 4 th July)
- Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo - Michigan, 5th July)
- Invesco Field (Denver - Colorado, 12th July)
- Orlando - Florida, 12 juli (stadium to be announced)
- Alomodome (San Antonio, Texas, 19th July)
- Middle Tennessee State University (Murfreesboro - Tennessee, 25th July)
- Georgia Dome (Atlanta - Georgia, 26th July)
- J. Birney Crum Stadium (Allentown - Pennsylvania, 1st-2nd August)
These events will anchor a complete summer tour schedule of the more than 120 competitive events sanctioned by Drum Corps International during the 2008 tour. The full schedule will be released on Wednesday, 12th December.
