Sixth USA tour for Beatrix in 2008
The members of Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps from Hilversum - The Netherlands have agreed on a US tour in the summer of 2008. The plane tickets have been booked, which was the one remaining obstacle for the organisation of the tour.
Everything in live is getting more and more expensive. "This caused some major struggles for the organisation to again arrange a great tour for the corps", Beatrix explains on their website. "This upcoming tour will be a little harder on the members and staff compared to the last few tours. Not because we will be rehearsing more then ever, but mainly because the corps needs to travel more."
In order to keep costs as low as possible for all members, the corps will start their tour on Thursday evening July 17th by traveling by bus to Frankfurt Airport. From there they will fly with Singapore Airlines to New York JFK. At JFK three luxury coaches will transport the corps all the way to Marion - Ohio, another 12 hour trip.
If you're interested in joining the corps traveling to the US and to make lots of new friends, you can sign up until January 1st. Everyone is free to stop by one of the rehearsals, which are on Wednesday nights from 19.00 until 21.30 hours and Saturdays from 13.00 until 17.30 hours in their corps hall.
