Many German corps attending DCN

Publish Date: 02 Mar 2012 - 1409 views

The Drum Corps Netherlands competition season will start in two months. The organisation has announced the participants. In total, eighteen corps will appear at the starting line this year, including several from Germany.

The start of the season will be in Middelburg, with a 'traditionally' small number in the line-up. Johan Friso, Tambourijnen Junioren, Juliana, Die Tambourijnen and Jubal will start off the season at Sportspark Veersepoort. Four weeks later in Huizen, sixteen corps will enter the field, and there will be seventeen corps participating at the DCN Finals in Dordrecht.

A number of German corps will enter the DCN competition: Starriders, Wölper Löwen, Heartliner, Showband Rastede and The Devils are participating in Huizen, and apart from Showband Rastede these corps will also appear at the starting line of the DCN Finals in Dordrecht.

In addition, percussion units Harpe Davids and DINDUA have decided to sign up for the Premier Class now that the Percussion Class no longer exists. This increases the number of participants in the Premier Class to a record number of thirteen corps.

The full list of participants can be found at www.drumcorpsnederland.nl.
