DCN corps perform in Dordrecht city centre
Drum corps sounds from the DCN contest on Saturday 23rd June will not be limited to the stadium of FC Dordrecht. During the day, musical performances will take place in the city centre in collaboration with the municipality.
A number of corps taking part in the DCN contest in the evening can be seen between 11.00 and 14.30 in the centre of Dordrecht. Drum Corps Netherlands wants to use this additional day programme to interest the locals in the drum corps activities in the stadium.
"Of course, it is wonderful to be able to play drum corps music in the city centre", says DCN Chairman Kees Bourquin. "Although many people in Dordrecht are probably already familiar with this phenomenon thanks to Jubal, Jong Jubal and DIO, it is still a fantastic way to demonstrate our hobby. It would be great if this inspired a lot of people to come to the stadium in the evening."
