Successful open house for Showband USA
On Sunday, October 22nd, over 300 visitors descended on the Centre Gustave Engrand in Hellemmes, France, for the open house and clinics presented by Showband USA of Hellemmes-Lille. The morning session for percussion and color guard, was led by Sandy Sueur (color guard), Benoît Sueur (battery percussion) and Jérôme Capoen (pit percussion) of Showband USA. The afternoon session saw Showband USA members demonstrating their technical and artistic skills by playing several ensemble pieces, as well as Individual and Ensemble performances by members performing at the Color Guard Nederland (CGN) I&E competition.
At the CGN competition, Showband USA finished 2nd in percussion open class and 3rd in color guard auxiliary open class against some of the best ensembles across Europe.
