2007 Championships selection criteria announced
Just as in 2006, selection criteria will apply for the DCE European Championships 2007. A number of corps can be assured of a place next year based on the position they achieve this coming Saturday. Others can be considered for a 'wildcard'. Just as in 2006, selection criteria will apply for the DCE European
Championships 2007. A number of corps can be assured of a place next
year based on the position they achieve this coming Saturday. Others
can be considered for a 'wildcard'.
Those corps reaching the top twelve of the Open Class will
automatically be given a place in the 2007 edition. For the Percussion
and Cadet Classes this will apply to the three highest placed corps. In
addition, four 'wildcard' places will be allocated among the remaining
corps who register. Selection will be based on recent achievements and
distribution in Europe among other things.
The DCE European Championships will start an hour later next year. This
year the event will begin at 9.00 in the morning and our intention is
to start at 10.00 next year. Therefore 22 corps will be placed in 2007,
instead of the 26 this year.

requirements for participation in the DCE Championships 2007 (like
participating in the national drum corps competition) will follow.
