Black Knights win DCUK contest Grantham
Black Knights Drum & Bugle Corps from Gravesend has topped the DCUK Open Class in Grantham last Sunday. They scores 79.1. 37th Kingswood came in second with a score of 73.9. The Kidsgrove Scouts were not present in Grantham. Black Knights Drum & Bugle Corps from Gravesend has topped the DCUK
Open Class in Grantham last Sunday. They scores 79.1. 37th Kingswood
came in second with a score of 73.9. The Kidsgrove Scouts were not
present in Grantham.
The Black Knights took the brass, visual, color guard, and effect
captions, and the percussion caption went to 37th Kingswood. Other
competitors in the Open Class were Poynton Commodores (3rd place), and
the Stafford Lancers (4th place). Concord won the A Class. The Black
Knights Cadets were the only corps in the Cadet Class. They scored 59
points.
The next DCUK
contest will be held in Newport, on September 17th. The DCUK British
Drum Corps Championships will take place in the Burton Albion FC
stadium on September 30th.
