Glassmen delegation's 'lightning visit' to Europe
A visit to four European countries in four days, a true 'lightning visit'. Three representatives of The Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps recently visited Europe to discuss details about the tour which the corps will be making in June.
Corps Director, Brian Hickman, Tour Director, Rod Owens, and Director of Marketing, Beth Schindel, took a look at the show location in Northern France on Wednesday. On Thursday the three of them came to Dordrecht, to visit the FC Dordrecht stadium, and spoke to Jubal representatives about accommodation for the Glassmen. They also exchanged thoughts on what the Glassmen could do for Jubal on Jubal's three-week tour to the USA this coming summer. In any case, they are trying to find a time when they can bring the two corps together.
On Friday, Hickman, Owens and Schindel visited Meerhout in Belgium, where a tattoo with the Glassmen is being planned; and on Saturday their visit was concluded with a visit to Great Britain for discussions with DCUK and BYBA about the event to be held there. (Source: Hans Kloppert)
