Results from the DCUK Task Force published
The results of the 2005 DCUK Task Force held last November have been published on the DCUK website. All rule changes agreed will come into effect for the following 2006 season. One of the proposals that passed is to permit any form of brass instrumentation.
The Taskforce members put their proposals and recommendations to the DCUK Board of Trustees on 4th December following the DCUK Annual General Meeting. At the Board of Trustees meeting last Saturday the Trustees considered and decided whether to accept the proposals or otherwise.
One of the proposals was the rule change (amendement) on instrumentation to permit any form of brass instrumentation across all competitive classes (excluding Cadet Class) with the provison that all groups must comprise a brass section, a percussion section and a color guard. The Trustees voted 11 in favour and 2 against.
An overview of all proposals can be found on the DCUK website.
