Drum Corps France launches new website, big clinic
Drum Corps France (DCF), the federation for drum corps and marching bands of France, has begun 2006 with the launch of a brand new website! DCF Webmaster Bertrand Chauvin has spent long hours to ready the new official site for the public.
Though the site is dedicated to promoting the drum corps activity in France, DCF would like to invite corps, bands and fans from all over the world to submit information to the site. DCF will translate the releases into French for the site, so that fans, participants and administrators may keep up with the happenings of drum corps around the world.
DCF is also happy to display few welcome words in the languages of the people who practice the drum corps activity in Europe: Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, The Netherlands and Sweden.
Also, DCF is beginning the new year with a big clinic organized in cooperation with 'Show and Marching Music' company from Zwolle, Netherlands. It will be held in Louvres, close to Paris, on Sunday, February 19th.
The main clinicians are DirkJan and Egbert van Groningen from S&MM, Jelle Roepert (former percussions instructor of Rhythm and Stars), John Hendrick (former tenor instructor of Beatrix), Rudy Wynants (brass teacher and former Borsalino brass instructor and caption head for DCF's instructing staff) and finally Jeff Moore from the US (former percussion caption head of the Madison Scouts ). The color guard clinician is TBA.
More information about this clinic can be found on the DCF website: www.drumcorpsfrance.fr.
