Dutch Boy to play music from South Park
Dutch Boy Drum & Bugle Corps from Kitchener - Ontario will be playing music from 'South Park the Movie' in 2006. The musical program will include 'Blame Canada'.
Some drum corps fans reacted with surprise to the announcement that the Canadian corps has chosen music from the controversial movie. "While I think there is some great music in the movie, I do think that this music might not be the most appropriate vehicle, given the large amount of swearing in the actual lyrics themselves", a forum member on Drum Corps Planet wrote. Other DCP members think that Dutch Boy made a good choice for their new show: "Check out the soundtrack... good stuff there."
Last year, Dutch Boy was a Division III Finalist in Drum Corps International.
