Wölper Löwen are DCG champions
Wölper Löwen Drum & Bugle Corps from Neustadt am Rübenberge are the new champions of Drum Corps Germany. With a score of 79.88, the corps topped the Drum Corps Class in the Weserbergland Stadium in Hameln last Saturday. The Starriders came in second.
The 2005 season was a very good season for Wölper Löwen, they remained undefeated in the DCG competition with their appealing 'Pirates of the Caribbean' show. The corps from Neustadt topped most captions, except for Percussion and Color Guard. These awards went to the Starriders.
Showband Gifhorn ended up third. Showband Rasted took fourth place, beating Fidele Vogelsanger from Gevelsberg with only 0.37 points.
Eight corps entered the Drum Corps Class. In the Marching Band Class, The Devils from Witzenhausen were the only competitor, they scored 51.38. In the Cadet Class, the Ministarrs scored 45.20 points.
