The DCE European Championships cannot be held without the support of sponsors who are enthusiastic about our activity. We would like to introduce these drum corps loving companies: Majestic, Guard Equipment, Show & Marching Music, Winged Instruments, Rotex and Muremo.
MAJESTIC
Majestic really needs no introduction. The well-known family business is celebrating its 51st anniversary this year and is a worldwide provider of marching and concert percussion instruments. Majestic and its partners in America and Asia also have links with organisations such as DCI, BOA and WMBC. What's more, various top corps use their set of instruments, including several times European and Dutch champions Jubal.
"Majestic belongs in the world of marching bands and drum corps," states managing director Peter Vulperhorst. "DCE is a fantastic organisation which has made us feel very much included for years now."
GUARD EQUIPMENT
Guard Equipment provides all the necessary equipment and accessories for colour guard, majorette and twirl, but also for the drum band, fanfare, harmony, podium band and orchestras. From shoes to sabers, flags and rifles to uniforms for percussion groups, the company has a range of products and is therefore pleased to present itself at the DCE European Championships.
From Saturday the 29th of September, following an eighteen month trial period, the Oxbow rifle will be sold. The Oxbow rifle made in the Netherlands is available in 3 different lengths: 32", 36" and 39". The standard colours are white, light gray and anthracite. Guard Equipment is very proud of the new Dutch rifle. Guard Equipment will have a stall at the marketplace in front of the Parkstad Limburg Stadium." Members, coaching staff and parents can contact us for any questions or information, "said Karla of Guard Equipment.
SHOW & MARCHING MUSIC
Show & Marching Music is the European music publisher specialised in music for (marching) bands and (marching) percussion ensembles. "We not only publish music but also create a lot of 'music made to measure'. This year, we wrote the show for one of the participants from the UK: the Staffordshire Knights," says Dirkjan van Groningen. "Many indoor percussion ensembles now know where to find S&MM for writing their show."
Show & Marching Music not only has a stand in Kerkrade, but is also in charge of recording the Championships to make the DVD. "We have been sponsoring DCE for years, because it's our way to contribute to the development and growth of the drum corps & show band activity in Europe," explains Van Groningen.
WINGED INSTRUMENTS
The French company Winged Instruments will be pitching its tents in front of the Parkstad Limburg Stadium for the first time this year. Earlier this year, the company was also present at the Muzikmess in Frankfurt. For musicians and fans, the stall is definitely worth a visit. The company, which works with bands including show band La Vailliante, offers a range of instruments and accessories. For more information, please go to www.wingedinstruments.com.
ROTEX
Corps or members who are looking for fun, original inscriptions for corps jackets or t-shirts can visit the Rotex stall. Rotex is a young and creative company that deals with creating a personal imprint (text and/or image) on textiles. The music world is familiar territory for this company. "We have been working on creative arrangements within the various drum corps for many years and this creativity is our distinguishing feature," is the explanation Rob from Rotex gives for his company’s presence at the DCE European Championships.
MUREMO
The European marching supplies company Muremo is a well-known concept in the drum corps world. The company has already brought a lot of products 'from across the pond', allowing many corps to easily get products at an affordable price. Think of Marching brass and Percussion from Dynasty, Uniforms by Fred J Miller, all products from the DSI range (director showcase), Innovative Percussion Sticks & Mallets and Sticktape.
Muremo is back again this year with a stall in front of the Parkstad Limburg Stadium and has remarkable new products and low prices. This year, it is presenting the new practice pads of the OFFWORLD brand, the new keyboard line of the Bergerault brand (used by Santa Clara Vanguard this year) and xylosynth instruments. All these products are now available for distribution throughout Europe.
(Winter) Guard members are also advised to come and have a look at the Muremo stall in front of the Parkstad Limburg Stadium. All winter guard materials (flagpoles, guard gloves, rifles, sabers, etc.) will be sold at a 20 to 60 percent discount.
