Carolina Crown updates 2005 program 'Angelus'
The new show program of Carolina Crown is called 'Angelus'. Angelus is about the spiritual messengers that many believe walk among us while living our daily lives. There have been songs written, movies created and folklore passed from generation to generation that look to explain what only the soul can feel.
Part one of the show, 'The Messenger', begins the presentation with hints of the spiritual presence of Angels as seen portrayed in the movie 'City of Angels' and uses the music of GLAD, an a cappella Christian group, with the selections of 'The Reason' and 'A Mighty Fortress' to set the tone of possibilities.
Part two 'The Appearance' uses the song 'Angel' by pop artist Sarah Mclachlin to express the trust and visions we hold while listening to the lyrics "You're in the arms of an angel, may you find some comfort there."
Part three 'The Denial' will question the belief through the brash, bold yet glorious statement of the musical ensemble while playing 'Never Surrender' by Jerry Goldsmith.
Part four 'The Acceptance' will use the music of Joseph Curiale with selections of 'Joy' and 'Call of the Mountain' and allows all to believe in the spiritual presence and feel the enlightenment of letting go, while trusting the inner soul to rejoice and acknowledge what just might be, 'Angels' do walk among us.
