Victory Jubal and Jong Jubal in Huizen
It was a good day for Jubal last Saturday in Huizen - The Netherlands. Both Jubal and Jong Jubal topped the Drum Corps Netherlands contest in the Premier Class and the Junior Class respectively.
Jubal passed the 70-point mark in the Premier Class (70.05). Juliana came second (68.90), and Beatrix came third (67.65). The first non-Dutch participant, Starriders, can be found in fourth place with 62.10 points. Their compatriot Showband Rastede finished in fifth place with 57.30 points. Con Spirit ended in 6th place (53.00).
A remarkable result for Jong-Holland, Nexus en Heartliner. The three corps scored exactly the same number of points (52.05) and therefore share seventh place. The Wölper Löwen followed in tenth place with only 0.55 points less (51.50). Harpe Davids came eleventh (37.20), partly because the show corps from Zoetermeer doesn't have a horn line can therefore cannot score any points in that caption.
In the Junior Class, Jong Jubal came first (68.35). Jong Beatrix came second (65.05), followed by Johan Friso (63.05) and Jong-Holland Junioren (55.04). Reports on the contest are still to come. A score overview can be found at www.drumcorpsnederland.nl and www.drumcorpseurope.org/scores.
