Beatrix World Class champions at CGN
Last weekend, Beatrix' winter guard from Hilversum became the first champions in the CGN World Class. Sensation from Amersfoort topped the Open Class at the Color Guard Netherlands Championships.
In the packed Indoor Sports Centre in Eindhoven, first prize in the World Class was for Hilversum. The difference with the runner up was over sixteen points. This is the first year that there have been guards competing in the CGN World Class. Beatrix will travel to WGI this weekend to compete at the WGI World Championships.
The winner in the Open Class was Sensation from Amersfoort. The Pride Open came close, but could not beat Sensation's score. The Starriders from Bad Münder came third, and Jubal from Dordrecht came fourth.
There were more champions to congratulate: CMH Menaldum (A Class), N-Motion (AA Class), Jong Impact (Prep Class) The Pride Junior (Junior Class) and The Pride Cadets (Cadet Class) were all strongest in their class.
In the indoor percussion competition, Unik Star from Hellemmes - France became champions in the Marching Open Class. Percussion Unlimited from Loon op Zand came third in the Prelims, but moved up to second place in the Finals. European X from Almere therefore ended up in third place. Vintage from Bristol brought up the rear with fourth place.
Premier from Krommenie won the Prep Class, ahead of New Spirit and Trommelgroep West-Nederland. The North Frisian Percussion Corps was the only participant in the Marching A Class.
