Senators announce indoor percussion programme
The Senators are pleased to be returning to the Indoor Percussion Circuit for the 2011 Winter Season with the ensemble competing at IPE and WGUK shows both here in the UK and in mainland Europe with a show entitled 'Solar'.
The Senators Percussion Ensemble will explore the effect the sun and it's energy has on our planet and it's inhabitants. "Solar energy is an essential for life on Earth, and the power that fuels our existence. The Sun influences our days, our actions and how and when we live our lives."
The Senators will be working closely with Tim Fairbanks and Andrew Markworth with regards to the design, direction and implementation of the 'Solar' production in conjunction with the Senators home based conceptual duo of Neil Hyde and Mark Abbott. The design team are being supported by strong educational and administration teams consisting of some of the country's top established and emerging instructional talent.
Membership in all sections is strong with a great mix of youth and experienced individuals at the very heart the of the ensemble. There is a real sense of excitement throughout the Senators organisation with regards to this project not least because of the plans to visit the USA and compete in WGI Percussion in
2012.
