The Academy returns to WGI for 2011
The Academy Open Class guard will be returning to WGI World Championships for the 2011 season, competing again in Independent Open class competition. It's been 3 years since they last competed at the world championships.
Many of their current Open Class members last competed at WGI in Independent A Class, with The Academy's A Class British Championship winning show 'Solitude, a lady's tale'. Darren Darton, as Director, and new senior manager Ric Talbut will be taking on the challenge and leading the group forward this season. Rick Subel returns to The Academy and will be designing and choreographing the Open guard show for 2011. Rick has worked with The Academy for many years.
This season The Academy also welcomes some new staff, from the UK and also from the USA. Joining them with Rick Subel for the first time is Nathan Jennings and Andria Foerch.
