Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps has plans to tour the United States again in 2012. This is in line with the intention of the corps from Hilversum to travel to the "drum corps mecca" every four years.
The plans were announced at the club's family daylast weekend. During the spring meeting in April, the members had already allowed the Board to investigate whether a 2012 US tour would be achievable.
Beatrix does impose a few restrictions for those who would like to participate in 2012. Members who are participating with Beatrix for the first time in 2012 (except Members of Jong Beatrix) will pay an extra 25% on the tour price. Those who remain members after 2012, will get a refund for the additional amount. Those who were already members in 2011 will not have to pay extra.
This time, the organisation of the tour lies in the hands of Jeroen ten Brinke, Erwin Kreuning and Harald Bartelds. They will use the knowledge and skills of the previous tour director, Jaap van Waveren. Several events have already been scheduled for the next DCI Finals week in Indianapolis to renew contacts and announce the intentions of the corps in the States.
