Drumline film gets theatre release
The film 'Drumline' will soon have a theatre show called 'Drumline Live'. The theatre production will be touring Japan, South Korea and the United States later this year and all through next year.
The film is about the rebellious Devon, the best solo drummer there is. However, at his new university, he has to play in the drumline of a marching band. This means he has to follow the rules, something he does not always succeed in. In an ultimate showdown with a rival university, everyone learns that teamwork and perseverance are sometimes more important than talent. The film has never reached European cinemas.
Rehearsals for Drumline Live will start in July, and the premiere will take place in August. The schedule is already full until March 2011. If the theatre production is a hit, they hope to extend the tour to 2012 and beyond.
