Beatrix alumni member in Madison board
Ton Stam, an alumni member of Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps, has been elected as a board member for the Madison Scouts. He has been appointed to a one year term at the 2009 annual meeting last week. The Dutch Ton Stam was involved in Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps from Hilversum in the 1980s as the color guard instructor and drill designer. He marched the Madison Scouts in 1981 and 1982, and moved permanently to the United States in the late 80s. He is still involved in the DCI tours of Beatrix as a sponsor.
Stam is also the owner of Chocolaterie Stam, a quickly expanding chain of chocolate stores in the US and Holland. He currently lives in Des Moines.
