Drum Corps France reveals new website
Drum Corps France has revealed a new website. With the website, DCF wants to promote the organisation and its activities and make its group members better known. Isabelle Eggermont and Jérôme Capoen created the new look.
Thierry Plume, executive director of DCF is happy and proud of the work made by the two French DCF webmasters: "These two young people have made an extraordinary job dedicated to our federation and the activity in France. They were preparing the website for weeks, after their regular jobs and many activities with their own marching band. On behalf of Drum Corps France, I thank them warmly. This site is well structured, nicely coloured and pictured, and it puts forward our corps that are making our federation alive."
DCF and its webmasters hope to extend the website with an English version very soon. Dutch summarized information is also planned. The objectives of the website are to promote the national events and the life inside the federation and its corporated groups, but also bring information to the French speaking peoples of all over the world, fans and supporters of the drum corps and marching band activity.
Drum Corps France is already organising clinics for French instructors, lead players and group members, and will have its first 'DCF Marching Bands Festival' on September 10th in Saint Quentin (northern part of France). Some of its member corps will take part in CGN and DCE contests in 2005 - the first steps before DCF will set up its own French competition circuit (probably started in 2006) and develop a strong cooperation with other European
sister organizations.
