DCW publisher Steve Vickers at DCE Championships
Drum Corps World will be present at the DCE European Championships, tomorrow in Kerkrade - The Netherlands. Publisher Steve Vickers and Drum Corps World photographer Harry Heidelmark will be attending the event.
"I'm very much looking forward to my visit in Kerkgrade for the 2009 Drum Corps Europe Championships, Steve Vickers says. " The last time I was at the event was 2004 at The Hague. My interest in corps at all levels and in the worldwide movement continues to be high and I feel most fortunate to be able to attend events in the United Kingdom, Holland and Germany occasionally."
Steve plans to report on the three shows he's witnessing (the 30th Drum Corps United Kingdom Championships on September 19 and the British Youth Band Association show on September 20, as well as the DCE event) in the November issue of Drum Corps World. "Best wishes to all the participating corps!"
Drum Corps World was established in 1971, at the same time Drum Corps International was formed. For 38 continuous years it has reported on the growing activity, not only in the United States and Canada, but also in Europe, the Far East, the Philippines and South Africa.
