Jubal are the new DCN Champions

Jubal are the new Dutch Open Class champions. The corps stripped the reigning champions Beatrix of their throne and claimed almost all captions with only High Auxiliary going to Hilversum. Jong Jubal were also successful and became Cadet Class champions whilst newcomer Con Spirito triumphed in the A-Class. Jubal are the new Dutch Open Class champions. Seventeen shows were seen under a clear blue sky during the DCN championships, watched by a record number of 900 drum corps fans at the FC Dordrecht Stadium. Beatrix collected the silver medal in the Open Class, while Juliana claimed the third position. The Starriders, Jong-Holland and FB, occupied fourth through sixth positions respectivly.
 
Debuting Con Spirito came, saw and conquered the A-Class. The Frisians won with extensive points and claimed all captions, except High Auxilary which went to the German Heartliner. The  corps from Germany made a substantial jump since the contest in Huizen. Avalance, also a new corps, came in fourth place and passed the 60-point barrier. This year Harpe Davids had no competition in the Percussion Class, and as expected the title went to Zoetermeer.

Winning the Cadet Class, Jong Jubal scored over 4.5 points more than the competition and won the gold with 79.75 points. Jong Beatrix took second place, followed by Johan Friso. The Jong-Holland Juniors beat Confetti and took fourth place with Jong Avalance coming sixth.
