Madison Scouts 2009: 'good, loud, fun and POW'
"In the era of lofty and abstract show announcements, we'll keep it simple." The Scouts 2009 show is titled Relámpago and consists of five movements. "It's good, it's loud, it's fun, it's POW!"
The movements and music of 'Relámpago' are 'The Forces of Nature' (original music by Vince Oliver and Malaga by Bill Holman), 'Two Left-Footed Mambo' ('Baron Cimetiere's Mambo' by Donald Grantham), 'Love Is in the Air' (original music by Vince Oliver), 'A Turn to the Dark Side' ('Candela' by Gabriela Ortiz), and 'Relámpago's Triumphant Return' ('Margariteña' by Inocente Carreño).
The Madison Scouts begin their 2009 DCI summer tour on Friday, June 19 in Rockford - Illinois. They appear in Madison on Sunday, June 28 for the 57th annual 'Drums on Parade' at Breitenbach Stadium in Middleton - Wisconsin. The Scouts will perform at 31 shows in 18 different states throughout North America. The 8 week season concludes at the DCI World Championship at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis - Indiana from August 5-8.
