Registration Euro contest WGUK starts Saturday
At 10am UK (11am mainland Europe) on Saturday 1st November the on-line registration process for the WGUK sponsored 2009 European Championships will open. This event being held in Stoke On Trent in the UK on Saturday 21st February is open to units across Europe to compete and meet together in the continued co-operation under the European Indoor Arts Alliance banner.
Performance order will be strictly in the order in which the on-line registrations are received - the quicker you register then the later on you will be in your class! You can only register on-line. This event will not only be open to Winterguards but also Indoor Percussion to make a full and exciting day of European indoor competition.
For units travelling from mainland Europe entry is free and if any assistance is required in finding overnight accommodation then contact WGUK (admin@wguk.org.uk) for more information. As this event will count towards the WGUK season seedings UK units will only need to pay their normal show entry fee.
Unfortunately, due to the current financial climate and the cost of providing a full WGI accredited panel of judges, this event is not sanctioned by WGI however talks are taking place to find a way forward to enable a WGI Colour Guard Regional to take place in Europe in future years.
