DCE website sets record: 400,000 visits in 2007
The DCE website received over 400,000 visits in 2007, a new record for the website and an increase of 25,000 compared to the previous year. The most popular day was October 1st, with 3,949 visits.
Visitors requested a total of more than 2.8 million pages from DCE in 2007, an increase of 40%. Popular sections were the news pages, the forums and the Cinema section. The news article with the results of the DCE Championships was the most popular with 3,951 hits (including all langauge versions of that article).
When converting to daily figures, the DCE site receives an average of almost 1,100 visits each day. This generated a total of more than 200 gigabytes of data traffic in 2007.
