DCE launches French website
Drum Corps Europe has launched a French version of its website today. It is the fourth supported European language, besides English, Dutch and German. The French version is identical to the other versions, including a French webshop and news section.
Like the other languages, the French website has its own domain name: www.drumcorps.fr. DCE chairman Marcel Matthijsse is happy with another added language. "This is a new step in the European identity of Drum Corps Europe. Adding a French version was on our wish list for quite some time, and now it has been realized. We want to thank Thierry Plume for his great translation work on this", Matthijsse said.
The Drum Corps Europe website started in February 2000 as an English website. Two years later (June 2002) a Dutch section was added, followed by a German version earlier this year. With the new French section, Drum Corps Europe has a tool to serve even more drum corps fans in their own language.
