High Brass return to DCE Championships
High Brass will be attending the DCE Finals at Sparta Stadium in Rotterdam, Holland. They will be bringing their merchandise stall to the market place once again where people will be able to listen to the band and buy CDs, t-shirts and other band memorabilia. band and buy CDs, t-shirts and other band memorabilia.
High Brass
were formed in 2000 from alumni of many of the top DCUK and DCI corps.
Since then they have released three successful albums and recently
returned from playing at the world's largest jazz festival in New York.
Their style, instrumentation and choice of music reflects their drum
corps background, "We try to be ambassadors for the drum corps activity
and are very proud of our drum corps roots", explains band director
Chris Jones.
High Brass have a long relationship with DCE and thanks to the visitors
to their stand in the DCE market place they have made many friends
within competing corps over the years, many of whom regularly keep in
touch with the band through their website and via email.
"After our visit to the 2005 Championships we were surprised and
pleased to see members of the Jubal Drum & Bugle Corps in the
audience at one of our UK performances", Chris Jones told DCE. "It
would be great to see more of our DCE friends at future gigs, or even
better; get to perform on the continent in the future. I hope that will
happen soon!"

competing corps a great performance and a successful championship."
