Extra event in Championships weekend
There will be an addition to the activities planned during the DCE Championships weekend. In the evening of Friday, 22nd September you will be able to watch drum corps in Rotterdam with the extra event 'Drum Corps Rocks the Town'. This event is free of charge. Five drum & bugle corps will perform their musical program on
Friday evening to the people of Rotterdam. Concert performances will
take place in front of the World Trade Center in the heart of this port
city. The WTC is located centrally in the main shopping area, and
Friday evening is late night shopping in Rotterdam.
'Drum Corps Rocks the Town' is being organised by Drum Corps Europe in
collaboration with Rotterdam Festivals, who have provided a budget
specifically for the Friday evening. Various participants of the DCE
Championships have expressed an interest in taking part.
DCE hopes to reach a wider audience with this additional drum corps
event as well as to promote the following day's DCE Championships. DCE
will shortly announce the names of the corps taking part in 'Drum Corps Rocks the Town'.
