VK starts fundraising for return to DCI
The Velvet Knights want to return to the DCI competition next year. The plan is to field the corps in 2007, when DCI brings World Championships to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena California. The VK Youth Arts Organization
is looking for people to help field their junior corps. Drum corps fans
know that it takes a lot to recruit, teach, train and provide the
equipment necessary for the members to play on. VK is looking to raise
$80,000 to purchase instruments. People can help by adopting a horn,
joining the Friends & Family program, donating, and participating
in various fundraisers.
On Saturday September 23rd, VK will be hosting a Barbecue/Dodger game event, for only $20.00 per person.
