Successful DCUK Task Force
Several corps delegates took part in the DCUK Task Force this past weekend in Northampton. The group worked extremely hard (including a 12-hour session on Saturday) and covered a wide range of topics concerning the future of the drum corps activity in the UK.
As part of their commitment to maintaining and developing the UK drum corps activity, the DCUK Board of Trustees decided earlier this year to put together a Task Force in order to examine all aspects of the activity. The last Task Force was held in 1995 and was responsible for giving guidelines to the management of DCUK for the ongoing development of the organisation and the drum corps activity. It was as a result of this review that both the Cadet and Junior Classes were launched at that time.
The report from the Task Force of last weekend will be presented to the DCUK Board of Trustees at an Extraordinary General Meeting following the Annual General Meeting on Saturday 3rd December.
