Bill Bachman and Nick Angelis in Europe
Top drummers and clinicians Bill Bachman and Nick Angelis will lead the master classes during the Masters of Percussion event in Antwerp - Belgium on November 20th. This big percussion event is run by InCorps, a partner organisation of Drum Corps Europe.
Bill Bachman and Nick Angelis will also be the judges for the Solo & Ensemble competition during the Masters of Percussion event. "This is amazing", says InCorps spokesman Erwin van Gemert. "We are very proud to have two of the world's top players on one European event, with support from our sponsors."
Angelis was hired as the original featured performer/snare soloist for the Tony and Emmy Award winning Broadway hit Blast!. From its inception in September 1999, Angelis was quickly encompassed into more aspects of the show, while touring internationally. With Star of Indiana Nick won the DCI Percussion trophy and became DCI Midwest Snare Individual Champion. Next Nick Angelis played with Blue Knights (along with InCorps Clinician Maurice Groen) and teached the Boston Crusaders, Crossmen and Troopers. Currently Nick Angelis is Percussion Consultant at Spirit of JSU and the Blue Knights.
Who says multi toms, thinks about Bill Bachman. He played in the drumline of the Cadets of Bergen County (DCI Percussion trophy 1994) and North Texas (PASIC Percussion trophy 1996). Bachman won silver three time both at the DCI individuals and PASIC. More recently he teached the drumlines of the Bluecoats, Blue Knights and Carolina Crown. Bill Bachman is author of Row-Loff's Quad Logic, Rudimental Logic and Bass Logic.
During the Masters of Percussion both Bill en Nick will lead the master classes for tenors (multi tom) and snare drum. Theses classes consist of a highly entertaining and educational demonstration.
The musical event will take place at 'Muziekconservatorium De Singel' in Antwerp - Belgium. More information can be found at www.incorps.org. Masters of Percussion are initiated by InCorps, Europe's largest and most succesfull collective of importers, arrangers, show designers and advisers.
