Kidsgrove Scouts win at Barnsley
Soaring temperatures and a large audience added to the excitement and atmosphere as the first UK show of the European Music Games took place in Barnsley FC Training Academy on Sunday last.
Eight corps in total took part, with seven in Premier Class and one in Junior Class. The Premier Class got off to a very close start between the top two corps. Only 0.40 separated The Company (68.50) and Kidsgrove Scouts (68.90), which sets up a close contest so early in the summer.
Sunday also saw the first ever performance at the European Music Games from the Dynamic Vibe Performance Ensemble from Tamworth who were placed 6th in Premier Class with their show “Whole”, which depicted the large range of human emotions.
Concord AllStars were the only group to take part in the Junior Class and they achieved a score of 46.50 with their show “The Final Frontier”.
The European Music games continue in Huizen, the Netherlands this Saturday June 24th.
