Less than a point separates top four in Allentown
The Blue Devils vaulted into first place on the first day of competition at the DCI Eastern Classic in Allentown - Pennsylvania on Friday night. On the second night, Carolina Crown emerged victorious. Less than a point separates the top four.
The Eastern Classic is one of the last major competitions of the season, and saw all 22 of DCI’s World Class corps perform over two days at the venerable J. Birney Crum Stadium. It’s a close race as corps get ready for next week's World Championship in Indianapolis. Crown scored 93.825, Blue Devils 93.725, The Cadets 93.600 and Bluecoats 93.125. So only 0.8 points between the number one and the number four.
The World Class top 12 is being shaped, with the Crossmen in 12th position with a score of 83.350. The Colts are in 13th place with 81.475. They will have to work hard in the next week to secure a position in the World Class Finals. All scores, recaps, and the Finals week schedule are available on www.dci.org.
