DCE is moving to Amsterdam

Drum Corps Europe is moving to Amsterdam. That is, the server running the website and the Document Manager will soon be located in the Dutch capital. The speed of the website will therefore increase considerably for European users.

DCE is still working behind the scenes on further improvements to the new website that was launched in September last year. One concern is the speed of the new site. The speed will be increased with various measures in the time to come, reducing the time it takes to load and making the pages appear on the screen faster.

The relocation of the server should contribute to that improvement in speed. Currently, the server is located in Dallas, so the loading times are longer for European drum corps fans. The move to the Netherlands should soon be noticeable by all European visitors of the site. American visitors, however, will experience longer loading times.

The move will take place this week. If all goes well, the website will continue to work as normal during the move.
