Italian becomes Visual instructor Colt Cadets
Nicola Esposito, Drill Designer and Visual Caption Head of the Italian drum & bugle corps Mosson will be part of the Visual Staff of the Colt Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps this summer. He will leave to the USA on 31st May.
The Colt Cadets are the Open Class corps of the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps organisation from Dubuque - Iowa. The organisation celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. "It is an honour and a privilege to receive such a prestigious position in a historical group of DCI in their 50th year of life", Nicola says. "The thrill is indescribable. No Italian before me has walked the stage of DCI as an instructor."
Nicola will be the first Italian to become part of a team in the Drum Corps International competition. His last DCI experience was in 2008, when he marched Crossmen as a trumpet player. His season begins 31st May 31st and will end on 11th August, with the DCI Championships week: "I expect a busy season, full of emotions, which I certainly will remember for a lifetime", Nicola adds.
"Many thanks go to Colt Cadets Director Matt Mulvanny, and Colts Director Vicki MacFarlane who gave me the welcome to the Red Team, giving me a great trust. I will work to the best of my ability. A second warm thank you goes to Diego Zordan, Director of Mosson, who has supported and encouraged me from the beginning and a final hug goes to my friend Fred Morrison."
Nicola is charged and ready to begin this experience with the Red Team. "I'm sure it will be a solid and wonderful collaboration."
