DCE Countdown 2012 (1)

Publish Date: 13 Sep 2012 - 1047 views

The DCE European Championships of 2012 will once again have a phenomenal line-up. No less than 22 top corps from six different countries will compete with each other. How are the competitors doing and what do they have in store for the audience? We will introduce them to you in 7 episodes.

Corps: Wölper Löwen
Country: Germany
Class: Premier Class
Show programme: 'Capone'

The Wölper Löwen show is based on the history of the legendary gangster boss Al Capone. The world of organised crime and the hunt for Capone and his companions are the context for the story board and the music selection of the spectacular show.

The reigning European champions bring you the story of one of the most famous fairy tales on the contest fields: Red Riding Hood. The story of the classic fairy tale, that dates back all the way to the 17th century, is brought to life in a special way. The story is performed to the soundtrack of Andrew Markworth, a strong visual performance and a special interpretation.

The theme of the show is the way people look at things. "Roses are red, violets are blue, or not?" The 6th asks rhetorically. The corps refers to the fact that people don't interpret colours with their eyes, but with their brains. This is also the theme of the 2012 show. The 6th will play music by Bella Bartok, Thomas Newman and David Arnold.
