Strong corps line-up at DCE Championships
The DCE European Championships will have another exceptionally strong corps line-up in 2012. There were far more entries than available spots, and nine corps have received a wildcard. The United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France and Ireland will be represented at the European Championships.
The Premier Class has sixteen corps. The top ten of the last Championships are placed automatically. Only the Italian Millennium has decided not to take up its place, so there was one additional wildcard to give out. Thanks to Besana and Mosson, Italy will still be well represented. Ireland will also be represented by two corps this year, the Clonmel Bluehawks and Tallaght Youth Band - Marching Vikings.
The Junior Class, with six corps, will be more international than ever next year. The Dutch corps Johan Friso, Jong Jubal and Jong Beatrix will be competing with the French champions Kadoudal, the Irish champions Ravens, and the British champions Kidsgrove Scouts Cadets who will make their European Championships debut.
